School kids get taste of technology with Christmas with Computing

Children from Kittybrewster, Sunnybank and Kaimhill primaries in Aberdeen took part in a range of different activities including a Reindeer Robot Race, a Christmas song builder, a 3D scanner and a green screen on Tuesday 20 December.
Meanwhile, school pupils from Forfar Academy, Robert Gordon鈥檚 College and Lochside Academy attended a lecture event later in the day which focused on three different themes.
Dr John Issacs, Dean of the School of Computing at 亚博体育官网, said: 鈥淭his was a great chance to introduce a big group of school pupils to the world of computing and give them some festive fun before the schools finish for the Christmas break.
鈥淣ot only was lots and lots fun had by everyone, I hope that the pupils come away from the event with a better understanding of what computing in the 21st century looks like.
鈥淭echnology plays such an important in all of our lives with it impacting everything from Christmas presents to the films we maybe watching over the festive period.
鈥淲e hope all of the pupils will remember the Christmas with Computing event and I hope we may have even inspired some computing students of the future.鈥
