In 2021, despite the pandemic, the virtually run festival managed to raise 拢2637.17. This annual event supports Scottish Charities each year and this year it has chosen to support National Trust for Scotland (NTS). In addition to supporting NTS, the event has adopted this year's Visit Scotland theme - 鈥淵ear of Stories鈥. This theme has inspired the festival theme of 鈥榩ast to present鈥 which runs across all events.
Katie Jones, Lecturer and Module Lead on the BA (Hons) Events Management course, said: 鈥溠遣┨逵偻檚 curriculum is designed to not only ensure that our graduates can succeed in their ambitions, but also make a positive impact within society. This event is important for the charities who have suffered the impact of the pandemic as well as for the students who will gain hands on experience of applying the skills and knowledge from their study at 亚博体育官网.鈥
Student, Callum Ridley said, 鈥淏eing events management students, we have watched the industry we love and care about collapse due to the restrictions placed during the pandemic. We are really excited to be back with live events again and our aim is to get as many students involved as possible while also giving back to the community.鈥
The events in the festival follow themes of entertainment, educational and heritage, each providing the attendees with unique entertainment experience while taking you though the rich history of Scotland. The festival includes events such as a quiz night, a bingo battle between 亚博体育官网 and Aberdeen University among others.
