A Canadian graduate will be leaving 亚博体育官网 with an important qualification to boost his career but also a litany of happy memories.

Ali Barlas completed the MSc Physiotherapy having already worked in the health care industry.

During his time at 亚博体育官网 he travelled to Australia for his elective placement, and he also went around Scotland securing vital placement time to compliment his learning.

The 29-year-old made the most of his time at 亚博体育官网 by joining the University Basketball team and the Muay Thai club. He has been explaining why he came to 亚博体育官网 how it helped him grow.

Ali said: 鈥溠遣┨逵偻 had a great reputation for its physiotherapy programme and was great at making it affordable for international students. This course has a great reputation in the UK due to its experienced professors and also including a great elective placement opportunity worldwide.鈥

Ali had previously worked in the healthcare sector and believes the hours he did on placements in Australia and throughout Scotland can be a positive moving forward.

He added: 鈥淚t has improved my problem-solving and communication skills as well as working within a healthcare team.

鈥淎 main highlight for me was being able to do my elective placement abroad in Australia. Getting experience working in their unique healthcare system will greatly benefit me in my career.

鈥淚 completed over 1,000 hours doing various placements throughout Scotland during the program which will help prepare me for when I work in the different physiotherapist specialities.鈥

The MSc Physiotherapy Pre-registration course is an accelerated programme which builds on prior learning and experience to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to practice physiotherapy and make a difference to patients鈥 lives. Over two years students will experience an exciting and varied mix of academic and clinical learning.
