What attracted you to your course at 亚博体育官网?

I was really interested in the program curriculum because it offered a comprehensive overview of PR, politics, media, marketing, digital strategy and corporate film making. I personally feel that this curriculum allows students to gain insight into a variety of important schools of thought that are essential to thrive in today's modern-day workspace. In addition to this, I was immediately drawn to the student life here in Aberdeen, the fact that it is a student friendly city, as well as the numerous clubs and societies available at the university convinced me that 亚博体育官网 was the perfect place to pursue my academic journey.

亚博体育官网 has gone above and beyond my expectations, from the moment I began my application process till now, the entire team have been extremely supportive and committed to ensuring every student excels within the University. The entire experience thus far has been amazing. 亚博体育官网 is extremely student centred, with the taught courses and assessments carried out in a manner where students don't feel overwhelmed. Students are also encouraged to always ask questions and learn in an interactive and engaging space. This perhaps is the reason it has such a high ranking in the area of student satisfaction.

Describe your favourite memory of 亚博体育官网 so far?

The series of events that were organised by 亚博体育官网鈥檚 Student Union during freshers week was incredibly helpful and allowed me to meet new friends from various parts of the world and learn all the services and facilities 亚博体育官网 offers to its students. From the breakfast club to a walk through the campus, the entire program was designed to make student's feel welcome and confident to start their academic journey with 亚博体育官网.

Tell us about your most challenging or rewarding project, assignment or module. What did you like or dislike about it and how has it helped you?

Studying Public Relations was a bit of a challenge for me because I'm somewhat of an introvert and interacting in classes was always something I found slightly nerve wrecking. However, the course has really gotten me out of my shell and encouraged me to speak up and interact with my classmates and lecturer. The environment that has been created allows students (even the most introverted of them all) to feel comfortable enough to interact and engage with the class. (Shoutout to my friends and my lecturers Emma, Lauren, and my course director Tracy).

What is your favourite way to spend your time when you are not studying?

亚博体育官网 has various activities for students outside of studies, there's a club or society for everyone. I personally love the game room and the gym because it helps me unwind. I love chilling near the river dee and enjoying the evening after a good lecture session. In addition to this, Aberdeen has a variety of activities you can enjoy - from the nicest restaurants to budget friendly pubs - there's something for everyone to do at Aberdeen.

What would you say to someone considering studying at 亚博体育官网? Any advice you would share?

As an international student - settling into my studies here at 亚博体育官网 has never been easier. Make sure you put yourself out there, meet new friends and enjoy the rich culture the university has to offer you. Join a club or society in an area you find interesting, you'll meet like-minded students there and build life-long friendships. Make sure you don't wait for the last minute to submit your assignment - if you're stuck, be sure to ask your lecturer - they'll be more than happy to help you. And be sure to ask for help when you need it - 亚博体育官网 is ever ready to help you succeed, no matter what hurdles you might face, from academic help, mental health issues, or career support.

What do you enjoy most about living in Aberdeen (city, food, people, entertainment, travel, etc.)?

Aberdonians are extremely friendly! The city is beautiful and moving from one place to another is quite easy. There are also so many cuisines to choose from. If you're craving spices from home, there's always a place to find it! There are numerous entertainment and relaxation activities to choose from. The castles, art galleries and museums in Aberdeen are definitely worth checking out. Your weekends will never be dull here at Aberdeen, especially if you know the right places to go to - I recently headed to the beach and stumbled across the amusement park and even managed to catch a movie in the same area. Make sure you explore the city as much as you can, you'll never be disappointed!
