WSDIA: Network Mapping Print

New York-based studio WeShouldDoItAll have created this wonderful range of prints which visualise and map the physical connectivity of the internet.

In their own words:

‘Network mapping is a graphic representation of the physical connectivity of the Internet. Originally founded and written by Barrett Lyon of The Opte Project in 2003, network mapping began as a way to trace the internet over the course of one day, through a single computer. It has now developed into much broader capabilities, detecting results of human communities such as organizations, social groups, industries, economies, voting systems and tendencies, natural disasters, weather cycles and wars’.
